Sight and Sound – Worshiping in Spirit & Truth – Around the Throne
There is continuous worship around the Throne. Revelation 4:8 “And the four living creatures, having each one of them six wings, are full of eyes round about and within: and they have no rest day and night, saying, Holy, holy, holy, is the Lord God, the Almighty, Who was and Who is and Who is to come.”
This painting represents a giant sight-and-sound machine with a light show of rainbow colors and lightnings.
Ezekiel 1:24: “And when they (the living creatures) went, I heard the noise of their wings - like the noise of great waters, as the voice of the Almighty, the voice of speech, as the noise of an host.” The wings are like giant amplifiers. I imagine this as the sound of thousands upon thousands of sanctified Jimmy Hendrix’s playing a multitude of amplified guitars in worship, and the voice of a thousand sanctified Janis Joplin’s singing before the throne.
The electric guitars represent the stringed instruments that the four living creatures played (Revelation 5:8). Wheels seem to be associated with God’s throne. Daniel 7:9 says “Its wheels as burning fire.”Angels attend the throne, and the throne moves. Could it be that sound causes the throne to move? The spoken Word - for sure; but what about our worship? He inhabits the praise of His people - that is presence. Our eyes can watch the worship. Our feet can move and tap to the music... but, we must go deeper! “We should BECOME worship” - BE the Worship! Our entire being can enter in; and we are given the invitation to come up. Where should we be during worship - seated on earth, or in heaven?

Take me to the river.
“Going under the water was a burial of your old life; coming up out of it was a resurrection, God raising you from the dead as He did Christ. When you were stuck in your old sin-dead life, you were incapable of responding to God. God brought you alive – right along with Christ! Think of it! All sins forgiven, the slate wiped clean, that old arrest warrant canceled and nailed to Christ’s cross.” Colossians 2:12-14 MSG
“Or do you not know that as many of us as were baptized into Christ Jesus were baptized into His death? Therefore we were buried with Him through baptism into death, that just as Christ was raised from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life. For if we have been united together in the likeness of His death, certainly we also shall be in the likeness of His resurrection.” (Romans 6:3-5, NKJV)
Father, Son and Holy Spirit.
We are baptized in the name of The Father, The Son, and The Holy Spirit. In this painting, the Holy Spirit is represented by the dove and fire. The Son is on the cross and his resurrection power is represented by the new man coming out of the burial of baptism. “When we are raised out of the water, we are raised with Christ into a new life – with Him!” The Father is represented by the yellow light (God is light) in the upper right-hand corner of the painting.
Wild Fire.
The church must let the light out! Too many are afraid of the wild fire, and their own reputations. Let the fire out - don’t hold back, don’t block it. God’s Holy fire in you is like a fire shut up in your bones. You must release it – as He leads you. You will know His fire when you are consumed with the internal flames of His consuming-fire LOVE. If you are not consumed, seek the baptism of fire in the Holy Spirit.
