Take me to the river.
“Going under the water was a burial of your old life; coming up out of it was a resurrection, God raising you from the dead as He did Christ. When you were stuck in your old sin-dead life, you were incapable of responding to God. God brought you alive – right along with Christ! Think of it! Therefore we were buried with Him through baptism into death, that just as Christ was raised from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life. For if we have been united together in the likeness of His death, certainly we also shall be in the likeness of His resurrection.” (Romans 6:3-5, NKJV)
Father, Son and Holy Spirit.
We are baptized in the name of The Father, The Son, and The Holy Spirit. In this painting, the Holy Spirit is represented by the dove and fire. The Son is on the cross and his resurrection power is represented by the new man coming out of the burial of baptism. “When we are raised out of the water, we are raised with Christ into a new life – with Him!” The Father is represented by the yellow light (God is light) in the upper right-hand corner of the painting.
Wild Fire.
The church must let the light out! Too many are afraid of the wild fire, and their own reputations. Let the fire out - don’t hold back, don’t block it. God’s Holy fire in you is like a fire shut up in your bones. You must release it – as He leads you. You will know His fire when you are consumed with the internal flames of His consuming-fire LOVE. If you are not consumed, seek the baptism of fire in the Holy Spirit.
